It’s no secret that YouTube has become a major media source for our culture.  Any politician looking for a cheap medium for advertising would be foolish to ignore it’s wide user base.  So it comes as no surprise that political advertisements end up filling these tubes as well.

But John McCain has found himself with a bit of a problem.  His ads on YouTube became the subject of a Digital Millenium Copyright Act (DMCA) take-down notice, and were subsequently removed.

McCain has since been trying to make an exception for himself for YouTube.  Funny how he now sees the value of Fair Use.  If only he’d like to allow that to people beyond himself.  I just find it ironic that McCain is stuck by the same restrictions he imposed on the rest of us when he backed the DMCA.
